(Quote by William Heath Robinson.)
This came to me last night while doing my daily pondering at 3am. It was inspired mostly by a sound track I am working on called 'Confetti Wolf; How is life treating you? ' and also from the concept of soul highways (old wives tale. My grandmother often talked about it to me because my family is very open to supernatural goings-on).
Life, if I am entirely truthful, is horrible. But it's a road, isn't it? A road which eventually will lead to death. It's like taking a trip and not knowing where you are going. Meeting and losing people along the way. The stops along the way are constantly chancing and sometimes terrible. You can stop there or carry on and choose to stop else where; sometimes you have no choice.
Our lives, like a car, can sometimes stop because we ran out of gas. Tyres can become punctured, windows may break etc. Any number of things can go wrong with our lives, just like a road trip.
I could go on and on about how life is one big endless road, but I won't. I think most of you could deduce the similarities for yourselves.
'A girl calls and asks, "Does it hurt very much to die?". Well sweetheart, I tell her, "Yes, but it hurts a lot more to keep living." ' by Chuck Palahniuk (author of such books as Fight Club.)
